Ladies that struggle with Hidradenitis Suppurativa
I’ve had the hospital trips. The random ER runs because I just couldn’t do it anymore. The ongoing cries. The screams, praying that it would just end. The shakes. Not being able to move certain body parts because of the pain. It’s crazy. You never really realize how much you need a body part until it’s under attack.
One thing I’ve noticed over the years is this: I refuse to be a victim of this. Every flare has made me stronger. Every battle has made me stronger.
The more I’ve dealt with HS, the more I believe there’s a spiritual side to this attack. It always tripped me out how everyone describes these boils as being “angry.” We don’t want to do too much because we don’t want to make them “angry.” That word stuck with me for years.
This disease made me angry for a long time. But there’s also too much to be grateful for. Too many blessings. Too much life to live. And I know I’m not the only one going through this.
That’s why I created this.
We’re going to get through this together.
I promise you, I wouldn’t wish a flare on my worst enemy, and I definitely wouldn’t wish it on any of you.
I truly believe God is calling us toward healing. I truly believe your story isn’t over.
